About Me

I take a lot of pride in being a true photojournalist. For six years I was a photographer at a medium sized newspaper. I covered just about anything you've ever seen in your local paper. I approach every wedding just as I would a typical newspaper assignment; to tell the story through my photographs. I want you to look at your wedding photos and laugh, cry, and laugh again, at the fun and beautiful moments I've captured.

Fun and laid back. I'm often told by brides and their bridesmaids that, of all the weddings they've been apart of, I'm the best photographer that they have worked with... Not just because of my images but because I'm easy to work with and have a great sense of humor.

Contact me if you are looking for a photographer for your wedding or for your family portrait. Check my availability calendar to see my schedule. Thanks!

Ariel and Jake: July 30, 2009

So as some of you know, I go to Red Robin all the time. I have been doing so since I was in junior high and now I go there to work on my laptop to edit photos just like some people go to coffee shops with their laptops. Its sort of my office. In doing so I have met a lot of great people. Two of those people are Ariel and Jake. Jake is a cook at the Bellingham Red Robin while Ariel just transferred down to the Skagit Red Robin to be a manager. They had an adorable baby boy, Collin, last July... and completed the circle by getting married at Lairmont Manor on a VERY hot Thursday evening. I love Lairmont and have done several weddings there this summer. By the way... grooms, check out the cake photo below for what NOT to do!!!

Collin, right, and his buddy Jeremy hang out while their moms get ready for the wedding.

Ariel and Jake smile at each other as Jake realizes that Ariel surprised him with a new ring.

I love the looks couples give each other just after the ceremony.

The guys light up cigars from Jake after the ceremony.

Delicious cake by Trevor Drumm of Drumm's Crumbs.

Collin was able to strip down to just his tie on the day after the hottest day ever in Bellingham.

So grooms to be... this is what not to do during the cake cutting! It was by far one of the funniest moments of the day but your bride might not be too happy with your afterward!

Lindsey and Chad: July 25, 2009

Much to Chad's chagrin, the wedding day weather was hot! I think it topped out around 85 degrees and the humidity was over 90%. The wedding was held outside the house that Lindsey grew up in and was catered by the delicious Act 3 Catering in Tukwilla. Normally its just the bride who doesn't want her groom to see her dress... but Chad also didn't want Lindsey to see him in his suit before walking down the aisle! Chad's sense of humor and Lindey's calm demeanor made them a job to work with. And despite the sweltering heat, the entire day was perfect.

Lindsey's mom and a bridesmaid help button up her beautiful Maggie Soterro wedding dress.

Lindsey attemps to keep cool on an 85 degree, near 100% humidty day.

There was no shortage of laughter between the members of the bridal party...

Chad uses a little battery powered fan to keep him and his groomsmen cool...

Mack... Lindsey's family dog enjoys the ceremony...

Lindsey's  brother Stuart tries to keep Mack entertained during the ceremony...

This little girl was so cute and shy... but later in the night she danced with all the big girls...

Chad's brother Mike change out of his suit as soon as he could... at least his kept on his bow tie!

Is that a tear or sweat Chad is wiping away as Lindsey's maid of honor tells the story of how the couple met.

"Don't even think about it" is probably what Lindsey was telling Chad as he threatened to get her with a piece of cake...

Chad cuts the first dance short thanks to the heat and humidity...

The thrill of victory... and agony of defeat after the bouquet toss...

Meggan and Brian: July 18, 2009

Meggan and Brian were married at the quaint Hope Island Inn on the Swinomish Indian Reservation near La Conner, Washington. I had never been there before and was pleasantly surprised with how gorgeous the location was and how amazing the food was which was made in house. Meggan and Brian were just as beautiful and fun to work with. Thanks for a lovely Saturday afternoon!

How cute is their son Duke?

Meggan and her mom get ready...

Meggan's beautiful dress was made by her step-mom from a picture in a magazine and without a pattern!

Meggan, Duke and Brian walk back down the aisle.

Brian and his ring bearers.

Meggan's gorgeous ring with her bouquet...

Meggan and Brian gave their guest a bottle of chocolate merlot with a personalized layer which they bottled themselves.
