About Me

I take a lot of pride in being a true photojournalist. For six years I was a photographer at a medium sized newspaper. I covered just about anything you've ever seen in your local paper. I approach every wedding just as I would a typical newspaper assignment; to tell the story through my photographs. I want you to look at your wedding photos and laugh, cry, and laugh again, at the fun and beautiful moments I've captured.

Fun and laid back. I'm often told by brides and their bridesmaids that, of all the weddings they've been apart of, I'm the best photographer that they have worked with... Not just because of my images but because I'm easy to work with and have a great sense of humor.

Contact me if you are looking for a photographer for your wedding or for your family portrait. Check my availability calendar to see my schedule. Thanks!

Heather and Dave: August 29, 2009

Heather and Dave got married at Evergreen Gardens, one of my favorite wedding venues in Whatcom County. Heather did an amazing job picking out fun colors, green and brown, and incorporating it throughout the venue. She also has one of the most loving families I've ever met. Did I mention that the BBQ was amazing? It was some of the best food I've ever had at a wedding! It was a beautiful wedding... Thanks to Heather, Dave and their wedding party for a fun day!

Dave's adorable son...

Heather's dad looks kinda tough but he's really such a sweetheart...

Heather and Dave had homemade strawberry and raspberry jam for all their guests...

Heather's dad wipes away a tear before he hands her over to Dave...

I turned around and Heather's dad was hugging his other daughter...

Heather's mom has never seen her husband without his moustache!

Heather loves stars...

Heather listens to her sister's toast...

and I apparently forgot to blog about Heather and Dave's engagement session... so here are some photos from that shoot...

Borin and Nicole: Engagement Session

I met Borin and Nicole at Owen Beach and Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Washington for their engagement session. Nicole contacted me after seeing my ad in Seattle Metropolitan's Bride and Groom Magazine... and hired me after we met! Engagement sessions are always a good time for the couple and I to get to know each other... and it also lets the bride and groom get used to having their photo taken. Borin and Nicole were a lot of fun to talk and work with and it was great going to Point Defiance Park in my home town of Tacoma!

Melanie and Mike: August 9, 2009

As soon as I heard that Melanie and Mike's wedding colors were Seattle Seahawk's blue and green, I knew this was going to be a great wedding. The cool thing about Melanie and Mike is that they were a referral from Corey and Nick's wedding from last summer where I just had my photo booth, and they were a referral from Jessica and Scott whose wedding I did the summer before. I love referrals!

Melanie and Mike's wedding party and families were so much fun to work with! And I loved how the blue and green were incorporated into everything from the cupcakes (from Katie's Cupcakes) to the flowers to Mike's blue converse and Melanie's blue heels!

Thanks for such a wonderful day!
